The American Orthodox Catholic Church confesses the Orthodox Christian faith as articulated in the Holy Scriptures, the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, and the consensus of the Holy Fathers.
This faith is unchanged, unedited, and faithfully transmitted.
We confess one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This mystery is not a philosophical construct, but the very life of God revealed through Jesus Christ and experienced in the Church.
The Son of God became fully man while remaining fully God. In the Incarnation, humanity is healed, restored, and united to God. This truth stands at the center of the Orthodox faith and shapes every aspect of Christian life.
The Church lives through the Holy Mysteries, particularly the Eucharist, in which the faithful receive the true Body and Blood of Christ. The Mysteries are not symbolic acts, but real participation in divine life.
Icons are a confession of the Incarnation. They proclaim that God has truly entered history and sanctified matter. Orthodox worship engages the whole person, drawing body and soul into prayer, repentance, and communion.
